Heres the final of the tiger woods painting.

Here is the start of a new painting I am doing for a charity auction. I wanted to keep the under painted feel, so Im going to try to keep this look through to the finish.

So I recently realized I was spelling Samson's name wrong. There isnt a "P" in Samson. I learned something.
This is stage three of the middle piece of the final piece. It will probably continue to evolve a lot in the process of being complete. I am indecisive at times when I paint.

So I forgot to take a pic of the final logo for Dr. Wilhoite, so here is a new painting Im working on. It is going to be Sampson, from the story Sampson and Delilah in the Bible (Judges 16), pushing down the pillars of a temple full of Philistines. This will consist of three canvases; two more sandwiching this one, representing the pillars. I will keep my progress updated as much as possible. God Bless.

So here is the image of Dr. Willhoite with the background more completed. Now I have to do final touch ups on it, and I will be done.
Along with this painting, Dr. Willhoite also wants me to redo his logo for the Soul Food Museum. I haven't started yet, but Im working on the preliminary work. Ill keep that project updated as well.

Chef

So Ive been working on a painting lately for a chef, Dr. Kenneth Willhoite, in Atlanta. He owns a museum called the "Soul Food Museum," and he does a lot of work with the community. He's been a lot of places. If your interested you can check him out at:

Anyway, I have been working on this painting for a couple weeks now. Its at an almost finished stage now, I just have to put some finishing touches on it. Here's how it looked about a week ago:



There are still a couple of small changes I need to make on his eyes (that I haven't done yet), but his face and hands were nearly complete at this stage. Only thing left to do was the background. I haven't got a photo yet of the stage its in now, but I can say that the background is completed, along with the tricky neon lights back there. Ill upload the current stage when I get a chance.

The important thing about this painting is that it wasn't a commission. I was inspired to do a painting of him when my family and I met him. I will give him the painting though, because there is a strong possibility that it could appear on the Oprah show with him, along with being the front cover of his book. This would be such a blessing if all goes well, so Im praying on it.

So yea, its been a while since Ive been on. Im going to start updating my blog on a regular basis. Really the only thing new is that I graduated from the College for Creative Studies (CCS), and I'm currently looking for a job. Not too easy right now, of course, but Im sure God will work something out for me.

Just to catch up a little, here are the things Ive worked on since Italy.



This painting is titled "Mark 2". Referencing a very empowering biblical verse. It was the first painting I did after returning from Italy.



I ran into trouble with coming up with good concepts, so I began to focus on portraits, just to keep the paintings going. The title of this one is "Tashif." He's a friend from CCS.


This is the first painting I did using a live model the whole time. This is my twin brother "Brennon." He was a very good model; didn't move much at all. I enjoyed doing this painting the most during my last semester at CCS.



This is a painting of my boy Anthony "Ant", a fellow painter who also graduated from CCS this past May.
